He endured the cross.

For the joy that was before Him, he endured the cross. (Hebrews 12:2)

Thank you, Jesus, for enduring the cross.

Because you endured the cross all of our sin has been forgiven: past, present and future.

No one can bring any charge against us.

You freed us from the prison of our sin.

We are absolutely, gloriously free.

Not only that, you adorned us with your beauty and majesty.

And lavished us with your grace.

You made us perfect forever.

By one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who have been made holy. (Hebrews 10:14)

Thank you, LORD Jesus, for making us holy.

Thank you for making us righteous.

Thank you that there is nothing we can do that will make you love us more. You already love us with ALL of who you are.

You ARE love.

Thank you that your love is unearned, undeserved and unwarranted – we can stop trying to please you.

Thank you that there is nothing we can do that will make you love us less.

We can stop fearing you.

There is no fear in love, for perfect love casts out fear.

Thank you that we can rest in your perfect love.

Never again must we fear punishment for our sin because you suffered the punishment for us.

You, yourself.

You would rather die an excrutiating death than punish your beloved children.

That is how much you love us.

Thank you, Jesus, for enduring the cross.

Help us to live for you.

You, who died for us, and rose again.

Hallelujah!

Hey!

Hey there. I’m Steve Edwards. I’m an actor, a writer, a teacher and a preacher!

This site explores the meaning of St. Paul’s words ‘by grace we are saved’. I hope it helps you to understand that we are loved by God completely, purely, fully, regardless of our mistakes. He loves us not because of who we are, but because of who He is, and what He did for us on the cross. Amen!

Please explore the hundreds of articles on the different books of the bible, and how the bible reveals that our holiness is a gift from God, and doesn’t depend on us and our good works. Thank God for that!
