I don’t wanna be reminded of past sin anymore. Do you?
I believe dwelling on our past sin exacerbates it.
This is why God tells us:
I have swept away your sins like a cloud…like the morning mist.
(Isaiah 44:22)
and
Your sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.
(Hebrews 10:17)
Let’s stop dwelling on the things we have done wrong, and think about Christ, who makes us holy.
This is why Paul says:
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
(Colossians 3:1)
Let’s focus on how righteous we are in Christ and rejoice, like Isaiah, that he has draped us in a robe of HIS righteousness!
We are not sinners in God’s eyes anymore. We are the righteousness of Christ.
Beautiful and amazing, clothed in His beauty and majesty!
