Here is how I got ready for my
first day of pre-school:
Being a three year old, I have almost perfected the art of procrastinating bedtime. Getting up for a drink, getting up to go potty, getting up cause something is scary at my window (that one works very well to get my parents attention) are all among my delaying bedtime tactics.
However, I have discovered that putting off bedtime on a school night is not a good idea. Otherwise I get a very early rude awakening by Mommy.
Although, the smell of cinnamon rolls baking in the oven is a great way to get me out of bed quickly.
But before I go eat some I must pick out my outfit…
and help get my snack ready.
THEN, I am able to eat a yummy, gooey cinnamon roll..or two 🙂
And, because I’m such a good big sister I share some with my brother.
Then, I sit very still (well..as still as I possibly can while not interrupting the cinnamon roll eating process) while Mommy fixes my hair.
A word of advice – when eating cinnamon rolls be sure to not miss your mouth or you will have to change your clothes. Which I guess isn’t that big of a deal, it just makes more laundry for Mommy.
Then, I make sure to brush my teeth, and because I am a big pre-schooler now, I inform Mommy that I can do it all by myself.
But before I go, I sit with Mommy while her and Daddy pray for me.
Get my lunch box and off I go!
Yay for preschool!
And that’s how you get ready for pre-school!
