Beautiful Beloved.

“Blessed are those whose sin the Lord will never count against him.” – Romans 4:8

When God looks at us, it’s not that He sees Jesus, it’s that because of the cross he is able to see past all of our muck and dirt and sin, and see the true us – our true selves – the beautiful, amazing, loving children He created.

Our sin was crucified with Christ. To use that age-old metaphor His blood ‘washed our sin away’ – once for all. Now, when God sees us, He doesn’t see us as sinners anymore. Thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice He sees us as we really are – perfect, righteous and holy.

“For we have been made perfect by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ once for all.”

– Hebrews 10:10

It is Him who made us holy. We could not do it. He did it for us. We are well and truly free. And if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed! All God asks of us is to accept our freedom and see ourselves as He sees us – as His beautiful, beloved children.

Hey!

Hey there. I’m Steve Edwards. I’m an actor, a writer, a teacher and a preacher!

This site explores the meaning of St. Paul’s words ‘by grace we are saved’. I hope it helps you to understand that we are loved by God completely, purely, fully, regardless of our mistakes. He loves us not because of who we are, but because of who He is, and what He did for us on the cross. Amen!

Please explore the hundreds of articles on the different books of the bible, and how the bible reveals that our holiness is a gift from God, and doesn’t depend on us and our good works. Thank God for that!
