His righteousness, not ours.

The Christian life is not a life of condemnation.

Men charge us with being sinners – but God says he has set us free from sin.
“And if it’s God who justifies us, who can throw a charge against us?”
There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.
God sees us as completely righteous, holy and blameless, regardless of what we do or don’t do, regardless of our ‘sin’.
Christ appeared once to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
Do away with. Eradicate. Expel.
In God’s eyes we are holy and pure beautiful children.
To see ourselves as anything different is saying Christ’s sacrifice wasn’t good enough.
Men will put us back under the law.
But true Freedom comes with seeing ourselves how God sees us: holy, righteous and beloved.
Then, like Isaiah, we will be ‘overwhelmed with joy in the Lord our God! For he has draped us in a robe of His righteousness.”
His righteousness – not ours.

Hey!

Hey there. I’m Steve Edwards. I’m an actor, a writer, a teacher and a preacher!

This site explores the meaning of St. Paul’s words ‘by grace we are saved’. I hope it helps you to understand that we are loved by God completely, purely, fully, regardless of our mistakes. He loves us not because of who we are, but because of who He is, and what He did for us on the cross. Amen!

Please explore the hundreds of articles on the different books of the bible, and how the bible reveals that our holiness is a gift from God, and doesn’t depend on us and our good works. Thank God for that!

You can also find me preaching about God’s amazing grace on Tik Tok @christianactor.
