Often I’ve read a bible verse that has spoken to me but then I’ve forgotten about it. Then weeks, months or sometimes even years later that word comes back to me and means something to me in a deep way.
God’s timing is not our timing. A day to the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years is but a day.
God is more interested in our hearts than anything.
So when we read a word or a verse and it seems to jump off the page and speak to us, let’s learn it, carve it into our hearts and bury it deep in our souls.
The deeper it goes the deeper it speaks to us.
“Deep calls to deep at the sound of your waterfalls.”
And you know what the roar of a waterfall symbolizes in God’s Word?
His voice.
